Sometimes the part of Weave comes into play and sometimes it can be a wasted skillpoint at 6 and can be taken at 7, 8, ect when you can actually use it.ĭazzle used to be my most played hero in dota, and basically using the ability or not completely depends on whether you're able to withstand its main downside (shitty range). You mentioned maxing Shadow Wave and Shallow Grave, what skill build do you use on Dazzle, and in which situations? There are several different skillbuilds and most of them do not include maxing Shallow Grave quickly as it is not needed to be maxed earlier in a game.Īll and all DotA is a really situational based game and you need to be able to react and control the moment to become a great player. When you reach level 6 you just need to be weary of your surroundings, maybe ask your team how their lanes are, check the map to see if anyone is pushing or enemies are mia and see any indication of an upcoming teamfight or push. Dazzle is level dependant and scales very well with early levels which is why they play him as a mid, but he is also an amazing babysitter in lane. The reason Dendi and Alex do not use it is because they are playing Dazzle as a mid, not a babysitter. Saving skills can be applied to Weave also, once you hit 6 you can wait maybe 15 seconds to a minute and decide based on your surroundings if you will need it then or not. An example could be used on Dazzle, at level 1 you could be roaming or placing wards and find an enemy or several and say you took Shadow Wave as your spell, in the fountain, and it cannot be used correctly in said level 1 clash, and say your Q could have netted your team a kill, or your W could have saved your ally. Holding skillpoints, waiting to level an ability, can be very very useful. A thing many publics and generally not good players do is forget to withhold their skill points. Weave has been a very subjective matter since they changed it while ago, and it is totally situational mostly. I really enjoy these threads about Dazzle and enjoy adding anything I can generally. I have won and participated in many tournaments using Dazzle and was even voted the best Dazzle player in DotA (I know right?) by an old poll that used to run on the DotA-Allstars forum. I am Hordy, the competitive Dazzle player from ages. Hi, some people may remember my name and some may not know me. What do the Dota 2 Reddit people think? Should Weave be skilled at Level 6 for those early game team fights and pushes? Or is it best to wait and make sure you have a head start on your long range (and low cooldown) Shallow Grave and powerful Shadow Wave healing? I watched a couple of pro games with Dazzle (it's quite rare) and both Dendi and Alex (the 2 Dazzle players) also skipped Weave until later. finding that far more obviously useful than Weave, which is difficult to really evaluate in a skirmish. Recently though, I've been skipping it at Level 6 in order to max Shadow Wave and Shallow Grave quicker. but even then, look at the difference between two Heroes fighting in Weave. That's obviously after the full duration and at Level 16, so practically you'll never get such a high differential. +30 Armor = 64% Physical Damage Reduction 20 Armor = 71% Physical Damage Amplification IPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad iPad, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3, iPad Mini 4, 9.Dazzle is my most played Hero and I've always been a huge pro-Weave fanboy.
